Hylomar Advanced Formula

Exciting new sealant for the 21st Century

Hylomar Advanced Formula has been designed to stay flexible and seal against oil and water in automotive powertrain and engineering components, running at maximum pressure and temperature. It is important that gasket sealing materials in engines are resistant to the fluids used for lubrication and cooling. Hylomar Advanced formulation has been tested with a range of oils used in the automotive industry, water used for cooling and glycol which is used for freeze protection.

Examples of fluids tested (pass): Water @ 70c, Antifreeze @ 70c, Petrol, Engine Oil GTX @ 120c, and Gear Oil @ 120c.

Hylomar Universal Blue

Adopted worldwide for use in sealing petrol, diesel engines and automotive transmissions.
Typical applications include water and oil pumps, instrument inspection covers, cylinder heads and sumps.

Coating pre-formed gaskets, weather proofing motors and outdoor high voltage circuit breakers. Inlet manifolds, timing case covers, oil pump joints, gearbox and transmission components, thread sealing. Gas turbines, water cooled generators, turbo vacuum systems and any machined surface. Material Capability: Universal blue will not affect glass, ceramics or metals. Aero grade available: Hylomar Aero grade is a highly engineered gasketing compound for use in the aerospace industry . It is manufactured under licence from Rolls Royce plc to their manufacturing specification MSRR9055. Defence specification DTD 900/4586.Temperature range for universal blue grades (unchanged) -50c to 250c.

Hylomar Silicone Sealant Grade 300

HYLOMAR SILICONE SEALANT can be used to produce "form in place" gaskets either by semi automatic application equipment, cartridge gun or direct from syringe. Form in place gaskets reduce large stock holding of different types and sizes of gaskets. All shapes and sizes of gasket can be produced direct from the syringe or cartridge. Hylomar silicone sealant is able to withstand thermal cycling, vibration and mechanical shock ensuring a high performance seal.

**Typical form in place applications : gaskets for crank shaft housing, sumps, gear boxes and water pumps. This gasket compound remains flexible when fully cured and has large gap filling capabilities. **Other typical sealing applications: Glazing, insulating electrical appliances, pipe connections and air conditioning units. Bonding: the high strength nature of silicone sealant makes it ideal for bonding. It is particularly suitable for applications where large gap filling is required. 300 series: Acetoxy curing. General purpose excellent adhesion to glass, ceramics, metals and plastics. High tensile strength for improved mechanical performance

Silicone sealant Grade 310 has been specifically developed for High temperature applications. It is currently being used for sealing turbines at 350 c. (the temperature range depends on each individual application).
